I’ve always seen adhesive posters (snipes) decorating the walls and fences of New York City. Sunday was the first day I saw myself on those snipes. We (Evan, Willie, and Shiv were with me) had just touched down after our two day trip to Germany and were driving through Harlem on the way to my new spot when I spotted a series of snipes on the corner of 125th & 5th avenue:

I had to stop the car and jump out. I’ll always remember this moment. Shiv was smiling in the back seat in suspended disbelief. He’s worked with me since he was 17 and in high school. He’s actually responsible for the touring I do in Germany. This is big to him, big to me, and big to anyone who knows the journey it’s been to get one of these snipes with my name, my picture AND my release date. Amazing.

He just made up some random BS, and put it down as a “review!” Well instead of making music worth listening to, maybe you should have been shoving the usual in our faces Ryan.     Hi Mr. Leslie. I have to say..I had been hearing buzz about you for a while, but I tend not to go with the “trend” and kind of discover music on my own time. I heard Diamond Girl a while back, and I LOVED it, but I didn’t know who it was. I am a HUGE music fan and would love to be able to call myself a picky critic, but seriously, you are phenomenal. I have to say, after researching you a bit, I am so impressed at how down to earth you are. Please STAY THAT WAY when you blow…not that you haven’t blown already, but, you know what I mean. Also, I am really proud to see that you attended and graduated Harvard at such a young age! That is such a prestigious school and to be so young, you are truly gifted. I see God all in you and that’s the most important part. Producers seem to be left out of the lime light quite a bit, but hindsight is always 20/20…lol. You’ve done great work! WOW, I really went on a tangent, oh well. I love music, and I’m not really the “groupie/fansite” type, as a matter of fact I’ve never even come to any artists individual site, but you are very intriguing. I loved the military video you did and that acapella version needs to be released immediately! Ok, now that I’ve show my blunt, boisterous side. I’ll be going to bed now.
